Foppe di Nadro
Rock 4: the detail of daggers with triangular blade
The weapons represented on rocks are for the most part “ objects of prestige”: axes, halberds, daggers, sledgehammers, while other objects much more ordinary like bow are totally absent; from the studies done on representations, these result comparables with weapons from Old and Middle Bronze Age used in a large Centre-European and Mediterranean areas, like testimony of wide active trades and which implicated all the continent.
For a longest period the representation of weapons remains the only engraved subject like evidence of their value into the economy.
